Festida Foods is currently accepting resumes and applications for the below positions. All positions are full-time, direct hire positions with benefits unless otherwise noted.
Maintenance Technicians are responsible for performing all repairs, adjustments, and preventative maintenance at Festida Foods. A large focus is making repairs on the machinery and equipment – including hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical work.
Festida Foods has two main types of Machine Operators – Kitchen Operators and Packaging Operators. Kitchen Operators (also called Sheeter Operators) are responsible for running and maintaining the machines that make our products. It is a physically demanding position, involving the handling of large quantities of materials as they are prepared and put into the machines. The Packaging Operator (also known as Bagger Operators) are responsible making sure products are being properly packaged by the packaging machines. It requires an attention to detail in observation and performing tests to make sure bags are fully sealed, names and logos are properly placed and aligned, etc.
Quality Department Supervisor – 3rd Shift
Our Quality Department oversees the testing of our products to confirm they fall within our quality standards, testing for things such as the correct levels of seasoning or moisture in the products. Additionally, daily food safety and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) audits are conducted. The Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the other members of the shift while performing the tasks themselves as well.
Quality Assurance Technician – 3rd Shift
Food manufacturing is a detailed process that involves many different processes, regulations, safety, and procedure. As a Quality Assurance Technician, you will serve as a source of knowledge about these different aspects of food manufacturing and safety. You will assure that all regulatory, safety and quality parameters are met. You are the last line of defense prior to product shipping to the consumer.
Our general labor positions involve packing bags of chips that come off of the production line into boxes, and stacking and securing the boxes on pallets. General laborers are also involved in equipment cleaning during production changeovers and week-ending cleaning times, and sometimes assist in helping with the inspection of the production throughout the process.
