With a background in agriculture and food manufacturing, Joe has a deep knowledge of ingredients, formulation, market trends, and the food business in general. Joe is well versed in the different certifications and product attributes that are important to today’s retailers and consumers: All Natural, Gluten Free, Non-GMO, Organic, and Kosher. Joe and his R&D team stay abreast of food and snack trends and work to develop products that are fresh and compelling to consumers based on those trends. As the Director of Product Development & Special Projects at Festida and Sage Foods, Joe oversees all new product development, product improvement, sales, and new or joint venture activities.
Joe lives with his wife and three kids on their farm near Rockford, MI. In addition to spending time with his family, Joe’s interests include gardening, cooking, competing in BBQ competitions, and flying.
